LOS ANGELES CITY COLLEGE 80TH ANNIVERSARY CATALOG 2008-2009<br />
and self awareness through participating in Group Dynamics courses, which<br />
are conducted as laboratory workshops for the purpose of engaging in and<br />
learning about the group process. The third aspect of the core courses is a<br />
three semester rotation through Field Work courses, coordinated and taught<br />
by a faculty member, in cooperation with facilities in the community. These<br />
fieldwork courses are related to the student’s special interests and the<br />
population with whom they expect to work in the future. <strong>By</strong> completing the<br />
courses listed below, students will be eligible for the <strong>As</strong>sociate of Arts<br />
degree with a major in Human Services. Satisfactory completion of all<br />
courses with at least a "C" grade is required. Students should note that,<br />
while this curriculum culminates in an <strong>As</strong>sociate of Arts degree and Human<br />
Services Certificate, additional courses are required for transfer to a fouryear<br />
college.<br />
