Real Estate Principles<br />

Advisory: English 28/31 or equivalent.<br />

This course is required for the California Real Estate examination.<br />

A beginning course in real estate fundamentals and principles, including<br />

real estate economics, terminology and definitions, real estate law, building<br />

and construction, real estate investment, and vocational opportunities in<br />

real estate. A practical study of the principles, economic aspects, and laws<br />

of real estate, including the information needed to obtain a real estate sales/<br />

brokers license and/or for better management of personal real estate<br />

investments. Topics include legal descriptions and estates, encumbrances,<br />

agencies, contracts, financing, appraisal, escrow and title, leases, urban<br />

economics, taxation, and vocational careers.
