RESOLUTION AMENDING A LICENSE AGREEMENT
WITH THE JERSEY CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
ALLOWING USE AND ACCESS TO CITY OWNED PROPERTY
AT 80 BAY STREET (BLOCK 76, LOT 160) WITHIN THE
POWERHOUSE ARTS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT AREA

WHEREAS, the City of Jersey City is the owner of propert listed below which
lies within the Powerhouse Arts District Redevelopment Area:

WHEREAS, the improvements on the Propert include the Jersey City Powerhouse Strcture; and
WHEREAS, the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency and the City entered into a License Agreement
on July 19, 2007 ( Municipal Council Resolution No, 07-45 i ) and which License Agreement was
subsequently extended on December 4, 2009 ( Municipal Council Resolution No. 09-867); and
WHEREAS, the License Agreement granted the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency access to said
propert for purposes of conducting various studies and investigations; and
WHEREAS, the Agency is undertking the stabilization of the strcture on behalf of the City and the
parties deem it necessary to amend the License Agreement to include remediation, stabilization and repair
of the Jersey City Powerhouse structure located at Block 76, Lot 160; and
WHEREAS, the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law N. J .S. A. 40A: l2A-38 and 39 (f) authorizes
such agreements and cooperation between the City and Jersey City Redevelopment Agency.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the City of Jersey City that:
i. Resolution amending the License Agreement between the City of Jersey City
and Jersey City Redevetopment and/or its designees, to utiliz, access and perform
remediation, stabilization and repair ofthe above listed propert is hereby granted.
2. The Mayor and Business Administrtor are hereby authorized to execute
an Amendment to the License Agreement in the form attched.
