approved in advance for any specific matter by <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong>.<br />

· word processing;<br />

· secretaries' overtime, proofreading, placing or organizing documents in fies;<br />

· meals;<br />

· first class air or rail travel, chauffeur driven limousines;<br />

· hotel accommodations; and<br />

· charges for use of conference rooms or office space.<br />

Should <strong>the</strong> services of one or more o<strong>the</strong>r persons with Special Counsel's firm be deemed<br />

necessary and approved, <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> expects that an appropriate number of at<strong>to</strong>rneys and paralegals<br />

at all practice levels wil be <strong>available</strong> for assignment <strong>to</strong> its matters so that matters can be handled<br />

in <strong>the</strong> most efficient maner possible. Fur<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> expects that tasks wil be performed by <strong>the</strong><br />

appropriate level at<strong>to</strong>rney (partner or associates) or paralegaL. If <strong>the</strong> Special Counsel decides <strong>to</strong><br />

staff tasks such as document indexing or preparing deposition summaries with associates ra<strong>the</strong>r<br />

than paralegals without <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong>'s prior permission, <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> agrees <strong>to</strong> pay only at <strong>the</strong> rate for<br />

paralegals.<br />

The <strong>City</strong> reserves <strong>the</strong> right <strong>to</strong> discuss with its outside counsel and approve <strong>the</strong> particular<br />

at<strong>to</strong>rneys who wil be assigned <strong>to</strong> work on each matter. The <strong>City</strong> also reserves <strong>the</strong> right <strong>to</strong> request<br />

<strong>the</strong> removal of any at<strong>to</strong>rney from <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong>'s assignments for any reason.<br />

The <strong>City</strong> does not agree <strong>to</strong> pay for excessive in-office consultants between at<strong>to</strong>rneys or<br />

at<strong>to</strong>rneys and paralegals, or for adminstrative meetigs with associates and paralegals.<br />

The <strong>City</strong> does not agree <strong>to</strong> pay for time spent educatig lawyers as a result of <strong>the</strong> transfer<br />

or work between at<strong>to</strong>rneys with <strong>the</strong> law firm uness approved by <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> in advance. A
