RESOLUTION AUTHORIING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY TO
ENABLE THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY TO RECEIVE
SPECIA MUCIPAL AI
COUNCIL
FOLLOWIG RESOLUTION:
WHREAS, the City of Jersey City qualifies as an "eligible muncipality for the receipt of
Municipal Aid puruant to N.J.S.A 52:27-D-l 18.25 et. seq.; and
OFFERED AN MOVED ADOPTION OF THE
Special
WHREAS, the Local Finance Board has determined that State Aid, in the form of Special
Municipal Aid, shall be grted to the City subject to the requirements of the law; and
WHREAS, the Local Finance' Board has fuer determined that a grant in the amount of
$14,000,000 for FY 2010 should be provided to the City, subjectto the requirements set fort in the
Municipal Aid Act, N.J.S.A 52:27D-118.25 et. seq.; and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the aid the City of Jersey City is reqùired to execute an agreement
with the State concerning cerin administrtive and fiscal matters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. In consideration for Special Muncipal Aid in the amount of $14,000,000 for FY 2010, the
Mayor is authorized to execute an agreement to comply with all the requiements established
for the receipt of such assistace.
2. The agreement shall be in substatially the form attched.
