RESOLUTION AUTHORIING THE EXECUTION OF AN<br />

AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY TO<br />

ENABLE THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY TO RECEIVE<br />

SPECIA MUCIPAL AI<br />

COUNCIL<br />

FOLLOWIG RESOLUTION:<br />

WHREAS, <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> qualifies as an "eligible muncipality for <strong>the</strong> receipt of<br />

Municipal Aid puruant <strong>to</strong> N.J.S.A 52:27-D-l 18.25 et. seq.; and<br />

OFFERED AN MOVED ADOPTION OF THE<br />

Special<br />

WHREAS, <strong>the</strong> Local Finance Board has determined that State Aid, in <strong>the</strong> form of Special<br />

Municipal Aid, shall be grted <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> subject <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> requirements of <strong>the</strong> law; and<br />

WHREAS, <strong>the</strong> Local Finance' Board has fuer determined that a grant in <strong>the</strong> amount of<br />

$14,000,000 for FY <strong>2010</strong> should be provided <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong>, subject<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> requirements set fort in <strong>the</strong><br />

Municipal Aid Act, N.J.S.A 52:27D-118.25 et. seq.; and<br />

WHEREAS, in order <strong>to</strong> obtain <strong>the</strong> aid <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> is reqùired <strong>to</strong> execute an agreement<br />

with <strong>the</strong> State concerning cerin administrtive and fiscal matters.<br />

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:<br />

1. In consideration for Special Muncipal Aid in <strong>the</strong> amount of $14,000,000 for FY <strong>2010</strong>, <strong>the</strong><br />

Mayor is authorized <strong>to</strong> execute an agreement <strong>to</strong> comply with all <strong>the</strong> requiements established<br />

for <strong>the</strong> receipt of such assistace.<br />

2. The agreement shall be in substatially <strong>the</strong> form attched.<br />
