RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
REDBULL ENTITIES AND THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY
TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT THE
"REDBULL AIR RACE NEW YORK AT LIBERTY STATE PAR, JERSEY CITY, NJ"
ON JUE 19-20, 2010
COUNCIL AS A WHOLE, offered and moved adoption of the following resolution:
WHEREAS, the Redbull Air Race, GmbH, a company incorporate in Austria (RBAR)
and Redbull North America, Inc.,a Californa corporation,( the Rebull Entities) host on a global
competitive basis air races with professionally training pilots over water ways in such cities as
Singapore, Dubai, and Madrd, and,
WHEREAS, the Redbull Entities have decided to host the next event (The Event) over the New
Yorkiew Jersey air space over the Hudson river on June 19-20,2010, and
WHREAS, these events attact corporate sponsors, are televised globally, attct over 100,000
spectators who stay at local hotels, and patronize local restaurants and establishments, and
provide jobs opportities for local contractors, vendors, etc, and,
WHEREAS, the city of Jersey City will gain economic benefits and global marketing promotion
by having the primar venue held in Libert State Park, Jersey City, New Jersey, and
WHREAS, the City of Jersey City is desirous of supporting and jointly marketig The Event,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT-RESOLVED, by the Muncipal Council of the City of Jersey
City that: The Mayor or Business Admnistrator is authorized to enter into the Host City
Agreement among the appropriate entities.
