RESOLUTION OF THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JERSEY CITY AUTHORIZING THE A WARD OF A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT TO PEDIATRIC CONSULTANT, DR.
SOLOMON OWUSu.
WHEREAS, the funds in the amount of Five Hundred ($500.00) dollars are available in
Account No.1-201-27-333-312; and
WHEREAS, an additional amount of Fifty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty
($55,820.00) dollars, state and local paricipation, will have to be budgeted either in the FY
2010 or FY 2011 temporar or final budgets in Account 01-201-27-333-312; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the City of
Jersey City that:
i. The Mayor and/or Business Administrator is authorized to execute a professional
services agreement with Dr. Solomon Owusu, in substantially the form attached, for
providing pediatric services in connection with various health programs provided by the
Deparment of Health and Human Services;
2. Dr Owusu shall be compensated at the rate of $55.00 per hour and the total amount of
the contract shall not exceed Fift-six Thousand Three Hundred Twenty ($56,320.00)
Dollars;
3. The term of the contract shall be one year effective as of Januar 1,2010 and ending on
December 31, 2010;
4. This contract is awarded without competitive bidding as a professional services
agreement under the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1 ~ ~.;
5. A copy of this Resolution wil be published in a newspaper of general circulation as
required by law within ten (10) days of its passage;
6. A copy of this Resolution shall be placed on fie and be available for inspection in the
Office of the City Clerk;
7. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:30-5.5(a), the continuation of the contract after the expenditue
of fuds encwnbered in the 2010 fiscal year temporar budget, shall be subject to the
availability and appropriation of sufficient fuds in the 2010 fiscal year permanent
budget and in the subsequent fiscal year budget;
8. The award of this contact shall be subject to the condition that the contractor provide
