The number yek and all subsequent compound numbers ending in yek are<br />

ordinarily declined as feminine singular <strong>with</strong> construct in -a and oblique in<br />

-ê.<br />

di 91’ê de di nod û yekê de in ’91<br />

Lê ew yeka han wî bêhêvî nake. But that one (thing just mentioned) does<br />

not make him despair.<br />

Ev yeka han ji tradisyona Celadet<br />

Bedir-Xan û bi xêra kovara wî<br />

<strong>with</strong> construct ending in -ên, but the oblique ends in -(y)î.<br />
