Alcester Division of Barlichway Hundred, Warwickshire, <strong>an</strong>d Alcester Union. Alcester 6,<br />

Henley (post) 3. Much depopulation from nineteenth century. Mor<strong>to</strong>n Common enclosed<br />

in 1807. The m<strong>an</strong>ors of Mor<strong>to</strong>n Bagot <strong>an</strong>d Netherstead were held by the Holyoake family.<br />

family. The soil is s<strong>an</strong>d <strong>an</strong>d marl with subsoil of keuper marl <strong>an</strong>d lower lias. Enclosure<br />

Redditch 4, Henley 5. The soil consists of lower keuper marls, gravels associated with<br />

River Arrow <strong>an</strong>d Arden s<strong>an</strong>ds<strong>to</strong>ne with a seam of gypsum. M<strong>an</strong>or held by the<br />
