Table 4.6 shows a decreased share for labourers as the needlemakers’s share<br />

grew. The increased share for tailors <strong>an</strong>d shoemakers may reflect the growing market for<br />

their goods in the <strong>to</strong>wn <strong>an</strong>d its hinterl<strong>an</strong>d. 22<br />
