Alcester (post) 6, Droitwich 6, Redditch 5. Enclosure award 1829.<br />

Temple Graf<strong>to</strong>n - a parish of 2054 acres including part of Ardens Graf<strong>to</strong>n <strong>an</strong>d the<br />

deserted village of ‘haunted’ Hillborough; in the seventeenth century the Bidford hamlet of<br />

Kings Broom was included in the civil parish for a time; Warwick de<strong>an</strong>ery, Worcester<br />

diocese; Stratford division of Barlichway Hundred, Warwickshire. Stratford Union.<br />

Alcester (post) 3, Stratford 5, Bidford 2. The m<strong>an</strong>or of Graf<strong>to</strong>n was held by the Sheldon<br />

family in the seventeenth century followed by the Burdett <strong>an</strong>d then the Fuller<strong>to</strong>n families.<br />

The m<strong>an</strong>or of Hillborough on the Avon was held by the Hub<strong>an</strong>d family until 1729 when it<br />

was purchased by the Vernon family of H<strong>an</strong>bury, Worcestershire. The soil is light clay <strong>an</strong>d<br />

s<strong>an</strong>d with a subsoil of lower lias limes<strong>to</strong>ne. Enclosure award 1815.<br />

Wixford - a very small parish of 569 acres with a bridge over the Arrow; Warwick<br />

de<strong>an</strong>ery, Worcester diocese; Stratford Division of Barlichway Hundred, Warwickshire;<br />

Alcester Union. Alcester (post) 2, Bidford 2, Stratford 7, Evesham 8. It formed part of the<br />

m<strong>an</strong>or of Oversley held by the Throckmor<strong>to</strong>n family.<br />
