The primitive is generated by the LLC layer entity when a LPDU is to be transferred.
4.7.2.4 Effect of receipt
The MAC layer entity starts the sending of the LPDU.
4.7.3 MAC-DATA.cnf
4.7.3.1 Function
This primitive has local significance and provides the LLC layer with status information (sending finished) of the
corresponding preceeding PHY-DATA.req primitive.
4.7.3.2 Semantics of the service primitive
This primitive has no parameters.
4.7.3.3 When generated
The primitive is passed from the MAC layer entity to the LLC layer entity to indicate that the previous LPDU has
been sent.
4.7.3.4 Effect of receipt
The LLC layer entity is aware that the MAC is available to send new MPDUs, and can issue new MAC-DATA.req
primitives.
4.7.4 MAC-DATA.ind
4.7.4.1 Function
This primitive defines the transfer of a LPDU from the MAC layer entity to the LLC layer entity.
4.7.4.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-DATA.ind(LPDU, lpdu_seq_number)
- LPDU: LLC Protocol Data Unit
- lpdu_seq_number: a sequence number that uniquily identifies this LPDU.
