The sub-table number shall be 1 for the first packet, <strong>and</strong> the sub-tables shall be sent in order. Entries can have<br />

variable length to allow for forward compatibility. The entry size is expressed in bytes. A node receiving entries<br />

with a size bigger than what it expects shall only take the values in the entries that it knows how to interpret <strong>and</strong><br />

shall look for the next entry taking into account the entry size received in the packet.<br />

The final structure, including information about Bridging <strong>and</strong> VLAN, <strong>and</strong> aligned in bytes shall be transmitted<br />

through the BPL in the order presented in the following figure:<br />
