9.1.4.3.3 Port Solver Multicast Acknowledge Message (PSMAM) format<br />

The PSMAM is encapsulated using the CCP with Type0 0x02 <strong>and</strong> Type1 0x04 (Figure 94). The Port Solver<br />

Multicast Message will be sent through broadcast port 127.<br />

Destination <strong>MAC</strong> must be the STP multicast address (0x0180C2000000) because PSMAMs are exchanged prior to<br />

the STP protocol. The packet shall be transmitted using the broadcast port (127). The PSMAM data fields are:<br />

Bytes PSM data fields Length<br />

0 – 5 Source <strong>MAC</strong> 6 bytes<br />

6 – 11 Destination <strong>MAC</strong> 6 bytes<br />

12 Acknowledged Multicast<br />
