9.1.4.3.3 Port Solver Multicast Acknowledge Message (PSMAM) format
The PSMAM is encapsulated using the CCP with Type0 0x02 and Type1 0x04 (Figure 94). The Port Solver
Multicast Message will be sent through broadcast port 127.

Destination MAC must be the STP multicast address (0x0180C2000000) because PSMAMs are exchanged prior to
the STP protocol. The packet shall be transmitted using the broadcast port (127). The PSMAM data fields are:
Bytes PSM data fields Length
0 – 5 Source MAC 6 bytes
6 – 11 Destination MAC 6 bytes
12 Acknowledged Multicast
