4.7.8.3 When generated
This primitive is generated by the Management layer to send the token to other nodes, or to send special tokens.
This primitive is used to schedule the access to the channel.
4.7.8.4 Effect of receipt
The MAC layer sends the requested token inside the current MPDU.
4.7.9 MAC-MNT-TOKEN.ind
4.7.9.1 Function
This primitive indicates the reception of a token, and defines the transfer of the information received in the token to
the Management layer.
4.7.9.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-TOKEN.ind(token):
- token (see 4.4.2): MAC delimiter: Distributor token, Data token, Silence token, Access Token, Access
Reply token, Polling token, TDR Polling token, Non-returnable Data token, CSMA token, Clock token
4.7.9.3 When generated
This primitive is generated by the MAC layer to indicate the reception of a token and provides the corresponding
information used by the Management layer entity in protocols such as Access Protocol or QoS.
4.7.9.4 Effect of receipt
Depending on the token parameter, the Management layer entity may perform different actions (see sections 4, 8, 9
and 11).
4.7.10 MAC-MNT-TOKEN.cnf
4.7.10.1 Function
This primitive is generated by the MAC layer to inform about the result of the MAC-MNT-TOKEN.req primitive.
That is, if the required token has been successfully sent.
4.7.10.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-TOKEN.cnf (token, result):
