4-June-07 P1901_PRO_016_r0
Enables or disables the quality of service in the node. If this parameter is disabled, all other parameters
related to QoS will not be configured.
• QOS_PRIOACK.prio+1 = [0 | 1]
o Parameter: This list enables (1) or disables (0) the Layer 2 ACK protocol depending on the
priority level transmitted by the modem (priority levels: prio = 0 … 7).
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: yes
This list enables or disables the Layer 2 ACK protocol depending on the priority level transmitted by the
modem (can be useful for those applications with hard settings in latency but not in PLR) (priority levels:
prio = 0 … 7). The ACK policy is carried out as follows:
o The highest priority of all the outgoing frames present in the output buffers of the modem is
obtained.
o If the Layer 2 ACK protocol is enabled for such a priority, the ACKs will be enabled for all
priorities.
o If the Layer 2 ACK protocol is disabled for such a priority, the ACKs will be disabled for all
priorities.
The Layer 2 ACK protocol is enabled for all the priorities by default.
11.5.1 Slave Node Parameters (CPE)
• QOS_UPBWLIMIT = [YES | NO]
o Parameter: Enables (YES) or disables (NO) the transmission bandwidth limitation in a slave.
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: yes
Enables or disables the transmission bandwidth limitation in a slave. Enabled by default. If disabled, the
user will transmit data constantly without restrictions. Every time it receives a resource allocation message
to use the channel, there will be no limit imposed by the slave when transmitting data back to its master.
11.5.2 Master Node Parameters (HE or REPEATER)
• QOS_LATENCY_STEP = [20 … 400]
o Parameter: Values in ms, from 20 to 400.
o SNMP: no
