The 4D-TCM provides the a k <strong>and</strong> Δ bk<br />

values to the ADPSK Modulator according to the bit-loading table. If<br />

the bit-loading table indicates that a subcarrier does not carry any information (0 bits per subcarrier) this<br />

subcarrier shall be modulated using 2 bits.<br />

3.7 OFDM MODULATION<br />

This section describes how the input constellations are grouped to create OFDM symbols. Special symbols for<br />

synchronization <strong>and</strong> SOT are also described.<br />

The signals will be described in a complex base-b<strong>and</strong> signal notation. Different implementations may be<br />

possible, if the signal transmitted to the channel is the same.<br />
