o Parameter: ‘0xXXXXXXXXXXXX’ (MAC address of forbidden master)
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: yes
This parameter is a list of the MAC addressees of the masters this equipment has to avoid. The equipment
will not connect to a master on this list, even if there are no other masters available.
• AP_PREFER_MASTER = 0xXXXXXXXXXXXX
o Parameter: ‘0xXXXXXXXXXXXX’ (MAC address of preferred master)
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: yes
This parameter specifies a MAC address of a master that is preferred by the equipment. If the node can
detect the master with this MAC address and it is not restricted (it is not forbidden and the number of hops
is the adequate), it will try to connect to it regardless of any other parameter. If fails to connect to this prefer
master, it will use the usual algorithm to decide to which master connect.
• AP_FIX_MASTER = ‘0xXXXXXXXXXXXX’
o Parameter: 0xXXXXXXXXXXXX (MAC address of fixed master)
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: yes
This parameter specifies the only one master to which the node can connect. If this MAC address is not
detected in the network, the node will not connect to any other one, so this parameter can be dangerous
because if not properly configured can produce slaves unable to connect.
• AP_CHECK_BEST_MASTER_ENABLE = [yes|no]
o Parameter: ‘yes’ (to enable checking of best master periodically after connecting with one) or ‘no’
(to disable the checking of better masters after connecting to one).
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: no
Once the node is connected to the network (after choosing and being accepted by a master) it is possible to
repeat periodically the search of a better master. This parameter enables or disables the periodical check of
the best master of the access protocol.
• AP_CHECK_BEST_MASTER_PERIOD =
