3.15.5.2 Semantics of the service primitive
PHY-DATA.ind(MPDU):
• MPDU: MAC Protocol Data Unit.
3.15.5.3 When generated
The primitive is passed from the PHY layer entity to the MAC layer entity to indicate the arrival of a MPDU.
3.15.5.4 Effect of receipt
The MAC layer entity processes the newly received MPDU.
3.15.6 PHY-MNT-SNR.ind
3.15.6.1 Function
This primitive indicates that the Physical layer entity has done a SNR measure with another node, and defines the
transfer of the SNR measure to the Management layer entity.
3.15.6.2 Semantics of the service primitive
PHY-MNT-SNR.ind (snr_measure, port):
• snr_measure: SNR measure with remote node in reception
• port: reception port of the remote transmitter node
3.15.6.3 When generated
The primitive is generated when the node measures the SNR with another node which transmitted an SNR frame.
3.15.6.4 Effect of receipt
The Management layer entity will decide if the tonemap must be changed for that port depending on the new
snr_measure and the current tonemap. If the tonemap must change, an ABLP message shall be sent to the other
node by means of the ETH.req primitive.
3.15.7 PHY-MNT-BPC-SET.req
3.15.7.1 Function
This primitive request the change of the tonemap used to transmit/receive to/from a remote node.
