4.7.22.1 Function
This primitive is used to gather MAC statistics about the channel state.
4.7.22.2 Semantics of the service primitive
This primitive has no parameters.
4.7.22.3 When generated
The primitive is generated by the Management layer when it needs to know the statistics to perform the functions
described in sections 8, 9 and 11.
4.7.22.4 Effect of receipt
The MAC layer entity communicates the required information by means of the MAC-MNT-CHANSTATS.cnf
primitive.
4.7.23 MAC-MNT-CHANSTATS.cnf
4.7.23.1 Function
This primitive is used by the MAC layer to communicate the required statistics.
4.7.23.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-CHANSTATS.cnf (stats):
- stats: composed by this information:
o cont_win: number of won contention attempts
o cont_attemp: number of contention attempts
o num_nodes: number of detected nodes
o used_val_rate: vector (one value per priotity): % of the assigned validity that has been used by the
slaves
o req_val_rate: vector (one value per service class): % of the available validity that has been
requested
o empy_CSMA: number of unsued CSMA tokens by the slaves
o CSMA_usage: % of the assigned validity in CSMA tokens that has been used by the slaves
4.7.23.3 When generated
It is generated as a response to the MAC-MNT-CHANSTATS.req primitive.
