document.
12.1.3 IEEE P1901 Private MIB
This section walks through the IEEE P1901 Private MIB.
Under the ‘.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises’ node in the standard MIB, in position number 6798, the node
assigned to DS2 (ds2 OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= {enterprises 6798}) is allocated and in turn, under this node, the
IEEE P1901 MIB branch has position 3 (IEEE P1901 OBJECT_IDENTIFIER ::= {ds2 3}) and contains all objects
that are not supported in the standard MIB-II but can be remotely managed in an IEEE P1901 node.
Internally the IEEE P1901 (3) branch is composed of 8 sub-branches.
• plSystem: Generic information about the system.
• plBasic: Information about the general BPL configuration.
• plPhy: Information related to the physical layer indexed by node address.
• plMAC: Objects related to the Medium Access Control.
• plQoS: Objects related to Quality of Service.
• plOVLAN: Objects related to OVLAN.
• plStatistics: Statistics counters.
• plTraps: Trap information.
• plStp: STP information.
• plSecurity: Security configuration.
