This parameter configures how much time has to pass to search for a better master. This process is periodic,
and the time is in minutes.
• AP_CURRENT_MASTER_MIN_BPS =
o Parameter: Number of bits per symbol (0-14592)
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: no
This parameter is also used in the period search for a better master. The node will only change to a better
master if the number of bits per symbol with the current master is lower than the
‘AP_CURRENT_MASTER_MIN_BPS’ value.
• AP_NEW_MASTER_MIN_BPS =
o Parameter: Number of bits per symbol (0-14592)
o SNMP: no
o Mandatory: no
At the period search for a better master, no every master will be considered. Only the masters with a number
of bits per symbol greater than ‘AP_NEW_MASTER_MIN_BPS’ will be eligible.
Parameters for the master: The master will receive petitions of the slaves that want to connect to it. There are
different policies about what to do in this case:
- Accept any petition. The slave will be allowed to connect through this master.
- Deny any petition. No slave will be allowed to connect through this master.
- Use the Radius. The RADIUS will be the one that decides to accept of reject the connection of a
slave.
- Use an authorization list. This is a list of the MACs of the slaves that will be allowed to connect
through this master. The following parameters configures this list.
