3.15.9 <strong>PHY</strong>-MNT-BPC-GET.req<br />

3.15.9.1 Function<br />

This primitive requests the tonemap used to transmit/receive to/from a remote node.<br />

3.15.9.2 Semantics of the service primitive<br />

<strong>PHY</strong>-MNT-BPC-GET.req (bpc_type, port) :<br />

• bpc_type: tx, rx<br />

• port: local transmission or reception port<br />

3.15.9.3 When generated<br />

The primitive is generated when the Management layer needs to know the current tonemap used to transmit/receive<br />

to/from a remote node.<br />

3.15.9.4 Effect of receipt<br />

The current tonemap is read by the <strong>Physical</strong> layer <strong>and</strong> passed to the Management layer by means of the <strong>PHY</strong>-MNT-<br />

BPC-GET.cnf primitive.<br />

3.15.10 <strong>PHY</strong>-MNT-BPC-GET.cnf<br />

3.15.10.1 Function<br />

This primitive indicates the result of the previously requested tonemap.<br />

3.15.10.2 Semantics of the service primitive<br />

<strong>PHY</strong>-MNT-BPC-GET.cnf (bpc_type, port, tonemap)<br />

• bpc_type: tx, rx<br />

• port: local transmission or reception port<br />

• tonemap: current tonemap<br />

3.15.10.3 When generated<br />

The primitive is passed by the <strong>Physical</strong> layer entity to the Management layer entity to provide the requested<br />

tonemap.<br />
