3.15.9 PHY-MNT-BPC-GET.req
3.15.9.1 Function
This primitive requests the tonemap used to transmit/receive to/from a remote node.
3.15.9.2 Semantics of the service primitive
PHY-MNT-BPC-GET.req (bpc_type, port) :
• bpc_type: tx, rx
• port: local transmission or reception port
3.15.9.3 When generated
The primitive is generated when the Management layer needs to know the current tonemap used to transmit/receive
to/from a remote node.
3.15.9.4 Effect of receipt
The current tonemap is read by the Physical layer and passed to the Management layer by means of the PHY-MNT-
BPC-GET.cnf primitive.
3.15.10 PHY-MNT-BPC-GET.cnf
3.15.10.1 Function
This primitive indicates the result of the previously requested tonemap.
3.15.10.2 Semantics of the service primitive
PHY-MNT-BPC-GET.cnf (bpc_type, port, tonemap)
• bpc_type: tx, rx
• port: local transmission or reception port
• tonemap: current tonemap
3.15.10.3 When generated
The primitive is passed by the Physical layer entity to the Management layer entity to provide the requested
tonemap.
