4.7.16 <strong>MAC</strong>-MNT-CHANEST-REQ.ind<br />

4.7.16.1 Function<br />

This primitive indicates the Management layer that a Channel Estimation frame request from a node has been<br />

received.<br />

4.7.16.2 Semantics of the service primitive<br />

<strong>MAC</strong>-MNT-CHANEST-REQ.ind(src_<strong>MAC</strong>):<br />

- src_<strong>MAC</strong>: <strong>MAC</strong> address of the requester.<br />

4.7.16.3 When generated<br />

The primitive is generated by the <strong>MAC</strong> layer entity to indicate that a node has requested the transmission of a<br />

Channel Estimation frame.<br />

4.7.16.4 Effect of receipt<br />

When receiving this primitive, the Management layer entity shall decide to issue the <strong>MAC</strong>-MNT-CHANEST-<br />

FRAME.req in order to transmit the Channel Estimation frame.<br />

4.7.17 <strong>MAC</strong>-MNT-NHOPS.req<br />

4.7.17.1 Function<br />

This primitive requests the <strong>MAC</strong> layer for the number of hops that the node is from a master.<br />

4.7.17.2 Semantics of the service primitive<br />

<strong>MAC</strong>-MNT-NHOPS.req(<strong>MAC</strong>):<br />

- <strong>MAC</strong>: <strong>MAC</strong> address of the master<br />

4.7.17.3 When generated<br />

The primitive is generated when the Management layer needs to know the number of hops from a master node.<br />

4.7.17.4 Effect of receipt<br />

The <strong>MAC</strong> layer obtains the number of hops <strong>and</strong> passes this information to the Management layer by means of the<br />

<strong>MAC</strong>-MNT-NHOPS.cnf primitive.<br />
