4.7.16 MAC-MNT-CHANEST-REQ.ind
4.7.16.1 Function
This primitive indicates the Management layer that a Channel Estimation frame request from a node has been
received.
4.7.16.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-CHANEST-REQ.ind(src_MAC):
- src_MAC: MAC address of the requester.
4.7.16.3 When generated
The primitive is generated by the MAC layer entity to indicate that a node has requested the transmission of a
Channel Estimation frame.
4.7.16.4 Effect of receipt
When receiving this primitive, the Management layer entity shall decide to issue the MAC-MNT-CHANEST-
FRAME.req in order to transmit the Channel Estimation frame.
4.7.17 MAC-MNT-NHOPS.req
4.7.17.1 Function
This primitive requests the MAC layer for the number of hops that the node is from a master.
4.7.17.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-NHOPS.req(MAC):
- MAC: MAC address of the master
4.7.17.3 When generated
The primitive is generated when the Management layer needs to know the number of hops from a master node.
4.7.17.4 Effect of receipt
The MAC layer obtains the number of hops and passes this information to the Management layer by means of the
MAC-MNT-NHOPS.cnf primitive.
