4.7.18 MAC-MNT-NHOPS.cnf
4.7.18.1 Function
This primitive indicates the result of the previously requested number of hops.
4.7.18.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-NHOPS.cnf(nhops):
- nhops: number of hops between local node and requested master.
4.7.18.3 When generated
The primitive is passed by the MAC layer entity to the Management layer entity to provide the number of hops.
4.7.18.4 Effect of receipt
The Management layer uses this number of hops in several management and configuration protocols.
4.7.19 MAC-MNT-CHANGE.req
4.7.19.1 Function
This primitive is used to change the role of the node (master/slave) in the PLC cell.
4.7.19.2 Semantics of the service primitive
MAC-MNT-CHANGE.req (role, new_master):
- role: [MASTER|SLAVE]
- new_master: MAC address of the node that has to be considered as the new master. This parameter shall be
used when the role is SLAVE.
4.7.19.3 When generated
The primitive is issued by the Management layer entity in the framework of the Coordination tools (see ¡Error! No
se encuentra el origen de la referencia.).
4.7.19.4 Effect of receipt
The MAC layer shall play the role indicated in the parameters.
