We look at these in more detail in the next sections. 4.2.1 Tenure Security (S) The study found a positive relationship between agriculture productivity and tenure security (Table 8) thus agreeing with our null hypothesis that “land productivity is directly and positively related to land tenure security”. This security was determined based on land rights such as: the right to sell land; plant and cut trees; designate heir to the land; plant annual crops; plant perennial crops; and rent out land. The results show that farmers who have more of these rights achieve relatively higher yields than those who do not have.
