3.5 Data Analysis<br />

<strong>The</strong> ma<strong>in</strong> focus <strong>in</strong> this research is the relationship between land tenure security on one<br />

hand and productivity and environment on the other. <strong>The</strong> quantitative and qualitative data<br />

analyses were used.<br />

3.5.1 Descriptive Data Analysis<br />

Data collected was used to make various descriptive analysis and expla<strong>in</strong> some <strong>of</strong> the<br />

variables <strong>in</strong> the econometric models. <strong>The</strong>se <strong>in</strong>clude techniques such as mean, median,<br />

mode, frequency tables, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Chi-Squared and graphical<br />

methods.<br />

3.5.2 Econometric Model <strong>of</strong> agricultural productivity<br />

To determ<strong>in</strong>e factors <strong>in</strong>fluenc<strong>in</strong>g agricultural or land productivity, an OLS model was<br />
