EXAMPLES OF QUESTIONS USEFUL IN REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH<br />

The follow<strong>in</strong>g questions may help to verify your understand<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> a woman’s concerns,<br />

problems and/or questions; and to give you clues about the presence <strong>of</strong> mis<strong>in</strong>formation,<br />

about attitudes and expectations, and about the nature and mean<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> the woman’s<br />

concerns.<br />

Note: It is sometimes useful to preface a question but stat<strong>in</strong>g that “I need to ask you a<br />

question or two to help me know how best to answer your concern”<br />

• What do you know about the LAM?<br />

• What is your husband’s op<strong>in</strong>ion on the family plann<strong>in</strong>g method you use?<br />

• What type <strong>of</strong> problems are you hav<strong>in</strong>g?<br />

When you have provided answers to a request for <strong>in</strong>formation, you may verify the<br />

woman’s understand<strong>in</strong>g by ask<strong>in</strong>g:<br />

If you do not know the answer to a question posed by a woman, acknowledge that you do<br />

not know, that you are not able to be <strong>of</strong> help<br />
