SESSION 18: EVALUATION OF THE TRAINING<br />

OBJECTIVES: By the end <strong>of</strong> the session, the participants should be able to:<br />

1. Assess their knowledge <strong>of</strong> reproductive health concepts and communication<br />

concepts and skills, and compare it with their knowledge prior to the workshop<br />

2. Evaluate the effectiveness <strong>of</strong> the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />

TRAINING METHODS: Post test, Self-assessment questionnaire, discussion<br />

TIME: 1 hour 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes<br />

• <strong>Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g</strong> evaluation form<br />

INSTRUCTIONS<br />

I. POST TEST (30 m<strong>in</strong>)<br />

Summarize the reproductive health workshop by referr<strong>in</strong>g to the general objectives <strong>of</strong> the<br />

workshop and its focus on the improvement <strong>of</strong> mediators’ knowledge and skills <strong>in</strong><br />

communicat<strong>in</strong>g reproductive health <strong>in</strong>formation to people <strong>in</strong> their communities.<br />

Refer to the pretest participants took on the first day <strong>of</strong> tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g. Emphasize that the post<br />

test will enable participants to be used to evaluate the effectiveness <strong>of</strong> the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />

program.<br />

Distribute the post test and ask participants to complete it. Allow them 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes to<br />

complete the post-test.<br />

Collect the tests. Correct them while participants complete the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g evaluation form<br />

(II. Evaluation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g</strong>).<br />

EVALUATION OF THE TRAINING (30 m<strong>in</strong>)<br />

Expla<strong>in</strong> to participants that their evaluation <strong>of</strong> the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g (their impressions, reactions<br />

and ideas) are very important to the evaluation process, and will help the tra<strong>in</strong>ers <strong>in</strong><br />

improv<strong>in</strong>g tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the future.<br />

Distribute the workshop evaluation form and ask participants to complete it.<br />

Once everyone has completed and returned the evaluation form, ask the group if they<br />

have any feedback they wish to share and/or discuss <strong>in</strong> the group.<br />
