SUMMARY<br />

At the end <strong>of</strong> this session, emphasize that:<br />

• All contraceptive methods presented are available to any person <strong>in</strong> <strong>Roma</strong>nia, no<br />

matter his/her status <strong>in</strong> relation with the House <strong>of</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Insurance. Access to<br />

Family Plann<strong>in</strong>g is a basic right for all human be<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />

• Family Doctors and specialists work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Family Plann<strong>in</strong>g cl<strong>in</strong>ics are tra<strong>in</strong>ed and<br />

authorized to provide these methods to the population.<br />

• <strong>Mediators</strong> have only the role to <strong>in</strong>form people about the exist<strong>in</strong>g methods, to<br />

emphasize the advantages <strong>of</strong> practic<strong>in</strong>g family plann<strong>in</strong>g and to support the<br />

population <strong>in</strong> their communities to visit health providers who can <strong>of</strong>fer<br />

contraception to their clients.<br />

All mediators will receive a list <strong>of</strong> tra<strong>in</strong>ed Family Plann<strong>in</strong>g providers <strong>in</strong> their districts.<br />

Participants will have the opportunity to practice the provision <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>formation about<br />

family plann<strong>in</strong>g methods <strong>in</strong> the last day <strong>of</strong> the workshop, when they will have to prepare<br />

and demonstrate <strong>in</strong> front <strong>of</strong> the group a group education session.<br />

The next session will cover another method, Standard Days Method, which they can<br />

discuss with people <strong>in</strong> their community; and they can provide a tool (Cycle Beads) to<br />

help people to understand and practice this method.<br />
