The shift to fuels with lower carbon content has reduced the emissions a little (CO 2 /TPES) whilethe shift towards increased share <strong>of</strong> electricity in the final energy consumption (see Fig. 6) hascontributed to the increasing component <strong>of</strong> TPES/FEC: The energy intensity <strong>of</strong> Russian economy(FEC/GDP) has reduced remarkably in the 2000’s decreasing the emissions.
