About the AuthorsSean K. Anderson (B.A., Western Washington University; M.A. andPh.D., University <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma) is pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> political science and thedirector <strong>of</strong> the International Studies Program at Idaho State University.From 1980 to 1982, Dr. Anderson worked as chief editor in the InternationalDepartment <strong>of</strong> the Pars News Agency (now the Islamic RepublicNews Agency) in Tehran, Iran. He regularly publishes research on statesponsorship <strong>of</strong> terrorism originating in the Middle East and on counterinsurgencymeasures by the United States in Studies in Conflict and <strong>Terrorism</strong>and Low Intensity Conflict & Law Enforcement and has contributedchapters to Networks, <strong>Terrorism</strong> and Global Insurgency (2005) andCountering <strong>Terrorism</strong> and Insurgency in the 21st Century: InternationalPerspectives (2007).
