Dr. Sloan also has been deeplyinvolved in formulating counterterrorism doctrine for the military, aswell as contributing to an evaluation <strong>of</strong> U.S. policies toward terrorism.In 1986 he served as an expert contributor to the Vice President’s TaskForce on Combating <strong>Terrorism</strong>. Dr. Sloan’s latest books include Low-Intensity Conflict: Old Threats in a New World, coedited with Edwin G.Corr (1992), Corporate Aviation Security: The Next Frontier in AerospaceOperations, coauthored with Harry Pizer (1992), and <strong>Terrorism</strong>:The Present Threat in Context (2006). Dr. Sloan is also the first visitingfellow <strong>of</strong> the Oklahoma National Memorial Institute for the Prevention<strong>of</strong> <strong>Terrorism</strong>.
