Art. 2 deposes that all instruction in universities, colleges,seminaries, and public or private schools, shall be conformableto Catholic doctrine ;and that no impediment shallbe put in the way of the bishops, &c. whose duty is to watchover the purity of doctrine and of manners, and over the religiouseducation of youth, even in the public schools." Art. o.
