This Rome attempted to establish, <strong>and</strong> in noother way could the ultimate disorganization of the worldhave been averted.But this does not hinder our perceivingthe heinous sin <strong>and</strong> the ruinous tendency of her maxim ;<strong>and</strong> it by no means surprises us, that some of the great mastersof ethical <strong>and</strong> moral science should have held that acommunity that contravenes the first <strong>and</strong> most essential conditionsof society should be denied the first <strong>and</strong> most essentialof social rights.
