This wouhl bean expense of but a few pence to each professing Christian.We want nothing but a plan <strong>and</strong> organization for an efforton an adequate scale. What we propose, then, is, that thisplan, or some similar one that is definite <strong>and</strong> adequate, beput before the country. Let the Christian public be toldthe greatness of the crisis, the desire of the Italians forthe Word of God, <strong>and</strong> how small an effort on the part ofeach can achieve all that is wanted ; <strong>and</strong> let Italian committeesbe formed all over the country,—a small one inevery town, or perhaps in every congregation. Were machineryset a-going, the sum needed would be easily <strong>and</strong>speedily realized. We ought to aim at a large <strong>and</strong> specificobject, in which we will more easily succeed than in a smalleraim.Sixpence a-head from the professing Christians of Britainwould furnish the requisite copies of the Word of Godfor an effective blow at the Papacy in Rome. Nothing iswanting but concentration<strong>and</strong> organization among BritishProtestants. Let no one stay back.
