Objective: To Identify the new and important in pediatric low vision aids.<br />

Summary <strong>of</strong> Content: We will talk about three main important points:<br />

1.) The best suitable tests for measuring the visual acuity in pediatric age group<br />

(distance and near, visual field, contrast tests and color tests)<br />

2.) The most common interesting new low vision devices (optical and nonoptical),<br />

Like: telescopes, hand magnifiers, stand magnifiers, special<br />

spectacles, filter<br />

3.) The relation between functional tests and low vision aids<br />

Target Audience: General Ophthalmologists or Subspecialists<br />

Educational Level: Intermediate<br />

N.B. This talk will take around 10 minutes also we do have a very short and<br />

interesting video tape <strong>of</strong> about 5 minutes that describes the steps for low vision<br />

examination.<br />

Objective: Attendees will understand the new DIOPTEX corneal Pocket<br />

Concept for the treatment <strong>of</strong> Keratoconus and Myopia.<br />

Summary <strong>of</strong> Content: 1. Corneal intrastromal implantation system (CISIS)<br />

using the PocketMaker Microkeratome in combination with the MyoRing<br />

intracorneal Implant 2. Lamellar keratoplasty using the PocketMaker<br />

Microkeratome and the DIOPTEX artificial anterior chamber (DAAC). 3.<br />

The Pocket Crosslinking technique using the PocketMaker Microkeratome<br />

to bypass the epithelium for applying the Rib<strong>of</strong>lavin and UV-A Light with or<br />

without implantation <strong>of</strong> the MyoRing Intracorneal implant.<br />
