Adding Prior Dose<br />

CHAPTER 5: <strong>MOSAIQ</strong> <strong>Radiation</strong> <strong>Oncology</strong> Clinical Charting<br />

If you know the quantity of dose administered to a site before you record the site in<br />

<strong>MOSAIQ</strong>, you can record the prior dose in the Dosimetry Setup window. Prior dose may be,<br />

for example, from a patient treatment at another facility.<br />

1. In the Dosimetry Setup window, double-click the Prior: column header for any of the<br />

primary or secondary dose tracking site columns. This includes Cumulative Primary and<br />

Cumulative Secondary dose tracking site columns.<br />

The Cumulative Secondary Dose Tracking Site window appears.<br />

2. In the dialog box for the selected dose tracking site, type the dose delivered to this site<br />

outside of the department EMR in the Prior Dose field.<br />

3. In the Cumulative Secondary Dose Tracking Site window, Click Note.<br />

4. Enter a note regarding the prior dose if needed, then click OK.<br />

5. Click OK.<br />

Defining Total Cumulative Dose and Dose Tracking Sites<br />

Once you have assigned the course/Care Plan and created the radiation prescription(s), you<br />

can use the Dosimetry feature to create dose tracking sites from treatment field and radiation<br />

prescription information.<br />

1. In the <strong>Radiation</strong> Prescriptions dialog box, click Change.<br />

2. Enter the total dose for the prescription site, including the dose being administered to<br />

this site from other prescriptions in the Total Cum field under Dose Limits section.<br />

3. Click OK.<br />

4. Click Dosimetry.<br />

5. In the Dosimetry Setup Information window, click OK.<br />

6. In the Dosimetry Setup window, double-click each row of the CumRx: column to add<br />

the dose coefficient.<br />

7. In the <strong>Radiation</strong> Prescriptions dialog box, click Change and enter the total dose for the<br />

prescription site, including the dose being administered to this site from other<br />

prescriptions.<br />
