CHAPTER 7: Image Management-ViewStation & Photos and Diagrams<br />

5. Click that the Review Required check box if the image requires a physician’s review.<br />

If the film is already signed by the physician, do not select this<br />

check box.<br />

6. Place the film in the scanner.<br />

The scanning process starts immediately. The scanning status changes for each step in<br />

scanning process and the image appears in the thumbnail box when the scanning is done.<br />

If you scan an image upside down or backwards, you can cancel the<br />

process and scan the image again, or you can flip or rotate the<br />

image later.<br />

7. If you wish to associate the scanned image with a treatment field, click Field in the<br />

Association group.<br />

CAUTION<br />

You must associate the simulation image with a treatment field to<br />

show the image with the treatment geometry in the Image<br />

window, Treatment Field Definition dialog box, and Beam’s Eye<br />

View dialog box.<br />

8. Click adjacent to the Field list, then click the field with which to associate the image.<br />

Figure 26 shows an example of treatment fields listed in the Field list.<br />

The fields must already exist for the patient. You cannot create<br />

them at this time.<br />

9. If you wish to associate the scanned image with a prescription site, click Site in the<br />

Association group.<br />

10. Click adjacent to the Site list, then click the prescription site with which to associate<br />

the image.<br />

11. If you wish to associate the scanned image with a patient, click Patient in the<br />

Association group.<br />
