DICOM Configuration Admin Rights<br />

CAUTION<br />

CHAPTER 9: <strong>MOSAIQ</strong> <strong>Oncology</strong> PACS<br />

In order to modify DICOM Devices in <strong>MOSAIQ</strong>, you must have Image<br />

Maintenance DICOM Configuration Admin security rights.<br />

1. Open the Security dialog box, then select the Image tab to open it.<br />

2. Click Maintenance | DICOM Configuration: | Admin.<br />

3. Click the OK button.<br />

Department Level Configuration<br />

You can click Archived Objects to query the <strong>MOSAIQ</strong> <strong>Oncology</strong> PACS database from<br />

<strong>MOSAIQ</strong>. Once the query returns results you can send one or more series to a Send<br />

Destination. Follow the steps below to fill in the list of Send Destinations. Refer to New<br />

DICOM Devices as Data Receivers in this section for more details. This list of devices should<br />

include <strong>MOSAIQ</strong>, and other devices that can receive and store DICOM objects, such as<br />

Treatment Planning Systems.<br />

Adding New DICOM Devices as Data Receivers<br />

You must have Image | Maintenance | DICOM Configuration: |<br />

Admin rights to change DICOM Maintenance.<br />

1. Click File | Import/Export | DICOM Configuration | DICOM Maintenance… to open<br />

the DICOM AE Configuration dialog box.<br />

The DICOM AE Configuration dialog box will already contain a list<br />

of configured devices, completed as part of the <strong>MOSAIQ</strong> and<br />

<strong>MOSAIQ</strong> <strong>Oncology</strong> PACS configuration.<br />

2. Click the Add button to open the DICOM AE Edit dialog box and type DICOM<br />

connectivity information for your new DICOM source.<br />

3. Type a descriptive name as the Device Name, such as Nomos Corvus Server. The Host<br />

Name can be either the host name or the IP address of the DICOM source. Type the AE<br />

Title and the Scanning Port as specified by the device vendor. Select the Device Active<br />

box to enable the device.<br />

The Device Active check box lets you disable a device and retain<br />

the configuration.<br />

4. Click the Verification and Storage check boxes in the SCP group. Do not select any<br />

options in the SCU group.<br />
