CHAPTER 7: Image Management-<br />

ViewStation & Photos and Diagrams<br />

The image management system in <strong>MOSAIQ</strong> has two components: ViewStation and the<br />

Photos and Diagrams utility; hereafter referred to as ViewStation and Photos and Diagrams.<br />

Using the Photos and Diagrams Utility is the only section for Photos<br />

and Diagrams in this chapter. All other sections are instructions for<br />

ViewStation features.<br />

Assigning Image Security Attributes<br />

1. Click File | Directories | Staff Directory… to open the Staff Directory window.<br />

2. Click Add to open the Staff dialog box.<br />

3. Type your last name in the Last Name field, then press TAB.<br />

4. Type your first name in the First Name field, then press TAB.<br />

5. Type your middle initial in the Mdl Initial field, then press TAB twice.<br />

6. Type your username in the User Name field.<br />

7. Click adjacent to the Type field, then select your position within your department.<br />

8. Click adjacent to the Category field, then select the work category that describes the<br />

peer group of individuals to which you belong (such as Physician, Dosimetrist, Nurse,<br />

etc.). This is a non-configurable field, and is associated with ViewStation functions. You<br />

must select Resident or Physician to populate the image review drop lists in the Image<br />

and Image Review windows.<br />

9. Click Security.<br />

10. Click the Imaging tab.<br />

11. Click the check boxes to assign the image security attribute, then click OK.<br />

Enabling Imaging Options in System Utilities<br />

1. Click File | System Utilities | Department Setup… to open the Department Setup<br />

dialog box.<br />

2. Click the Clinical (RO) tab.<br />

3. In the Inbound Tx Checks group, click the Portal Image Check check box if it is not<br />

checked.<br />
