Waving Orders from Quick Orders<br />

CHAPTER 4: <strong>MOSAIQ</strong> Medical <strong>Oncology</strong> Clinical Charting<br />

You can also add recurring or wave orders for medications.<br />

1. In the Quick Orders dialog box, enter the Date, MD, Comments, Priority, and Diagnosis<br />

for the order if different from the defaults.<br />

2. Click Wave to open the Wave Setup Form dialog box.<br />

3 Type the date of the first instance in the Date field if different from the default.<br />

4. In the End group, type the number of Times to administer the order.<br />

5. In the Times Per Day group, select how frequently to administer the order each day.<br />

6. In the Pattern group, select how often to administer the order, such as Daily.<br />

7. Click OK to save the recurring appointment. Note that a green checkmark appears<br />

adjacent to the Wave button in the Quick Orders dialog box.<br />

8. Select the medication(s) or observation(s) from the tab(s) (or use Quick Rx).<br />

9. Click Generate Approved to give the order a status of Approved rather than Pending.<br />

10. Click Generate to create the recurring order. (Click Add for Quick Orders.) The green<br />

checkmark no longer appears next to the Wave button.<br />
