CHAPTER 7: Image Management-ViewStation & Photos and Diagrams<br />

Setting Beam’s Eye View Preferences in the Field Definition<br />

1. If you wish to set the viewing preferences for the MLC beam geometry and graticule in<br />

the Beam’s Eye View, click eChart | Diagnoses and Interventions… to open the<br />

Diagnoses and Intervention window.<br />

2. Double-click the MLC treatment field associated with the image to open the Treatment<br />

Field Definition dialog box.<br />

3. Right-click or press F4, then place your mouse pointer over Preferences.<br />

4. Click the MLC beam geometry viewing preference you wish to set.<br />

The preferences are as follows:<br />

View MLC<br />

Edge<br />

View MLC<br />

Aperture<br />

Shows the MLC edge only, providing the clearest view of<br />

surrounding anatomy. This is the default view.<br />

Shows the MLC aperture, which shows the MLC interleaf lines<br />

within the jaw boundaries.<br />

View MLC All Shows all the MLC leaves.<br />

5. Click View Graticule if you want the graticule shown when you open the Image<br />

window and/or Beam’s Eye View dialog box.<br />

6. Click OK in the Treatment Field Definition dialog box to save the preference you set,<br />

then click Close in the Diagnoses and Interventions window.<br />

Setting Beam’s Eye View Preferences in the Image Window<br />

1. If you wish to set the viewing preferences for the MLC beam geometry and graticule in<br />

Image window, click eChart | Images… to open the Image List window.<br />

2. Double-click an image associated with an MLC treatment field to open the Image<br />

window.<br />

3. Right-click or press F4, then place your mouse pointer over Preferences.<br />

4. Click View Graticule if you want the graticule shown when you open the Image<br />

window and/or Beam’s Eye View dialog box.<br />

5. Right-click or press F4, place your mouse pointer over Preferences, then click the MLC<br />

beam geometry viewing preference you wish to set.<br />

Refer to Step 4 of Setting Beam’s Eye View Preferences in the Field Definition for more<br />

information on MLC beam geometry viewing preferences.<br />

6. Click OK to save your changes and close the Image window.<br />
