<strong>Clubs</strong><br />
Club Viability Panel<br />
All clubs calculate EBITDARD %. <strong>Clubs</strong> with GMR <<br />
$5 m a year calculate a suite <strong>of</strong> bus<strong>in</strong>ess efficiency<br />
and f<strong>in</strong>ancial viability measures. <strong>Clubs</strong> submit<br />
<strong>the</strong>se measure(s) to <strong>the</strong> Panel<br />
Stage 1 – Data collection<br />
and benchmark<strong>in</strong>g<br />
Panel provides an automated report to clubs on<br />
how <strong>the</strong>y have performed relative to benchmarks.<br />
This report would not <strong>in</strong>clude any analysis <strong>of</strong><br />
implications <strong>of</strong> club performance<br />
Panel identifies and notifies clubs with EBITDARD<br />
% < 15%. By virtue <strong>of</strong> this, clubs are eligible for<br />
fur<strong>the</strong>r review by <strong>the</strong> Panel.<br />
Stage 2 – Identification<br />
and notification<br />
<strong>Clubs</strong> decide whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong>y will accept <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fer <strong>of</strong><br />
fur<strong>the</strong>r review by <strong>the</strong> Panel. Those clubs that<br />
choose not to must notify <strong>the</strong> Panel <strong>the</strong>ir members<br />
outl<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g why th e <strong>of</strong>fer for fur<strong>the</strong>r assistance has<br />
not been accepted<br />
Stage 3 –<strong>Review</strong> <strong>of</strong> clubs<br />
f<strong>in</strong>ancial position<br />
Panel reviews f<strong>in</strong>ancial position <strong>of</strong> clubs that<br />
accept <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fer to identify whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> club is<br />
experienc<strong>in</strong>g f<strong>in</strong>ancial distress. Panel may present<br />
options to <strong>the</strong> club for deal<strong>in</strong>g with any concerns<br />
such as<br />
Engag<strong>in</strong>g an <strong>in</strong>dustry consultant<br />
Ref<strong>in</strong>anc<strong>in</strong>g or restructur<strong>in</strong>g debt<br />
Potential amalgamation<br />
Ongo<strong>in</strong>g monitor<strong>in</strong>g on a more frequent basis<br />
Stage 4 –Next steps for<br />
clubs experienc<strong>in</strong>g<br />
f<strong>in</strong>ancial distress<br />
<strong>Clubs</strong> can apply to <strong>the</strong> Panel for f<strong>in</strong>ancial<br />
assistance to pursue fur<strong>the</strong>r action on <strong>the</strong> options<br />
presented <strong>in</strong> Stage 3.<br />
Panel assesses application and can provide<br />
fund<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> up to $50,000. Panel will also<br />
periodically follow up and review progress <strong>of</strong> clubs<br />
<strong>in</strong> f<strong>in</strong>ancial difficulty<br />
