Tulsa Goal 2030
Tulsa 2030 Goal, the growth and development concept that
will serve as a benchmark for the Comprehensive Plan, was
designed to improve supply and access to parks and open
space in Tulsa.
The following tables presents a comparison of the Trends
Continue scenario and the Tulsa 2030 Goal. In part, due
to the larger amount of total development in the city under
Tulsa 2030 Goal, a greater amount of new parkland would
be created.
The number of new Tulsans with access to city and regional
parks would also be much greater under Tulsa 2030 Goal.
Over three times as many households and nearly four
times as many jobs would be located within one-half mile
of parks.

Tulsa 2030 Goal would result in greater support for park
and open space resources by bringing more people within
closer walking distance. Parks thrive when they can serve
as the center of a community or neighborhood, and have
many users throughout the day.
