The plan map<br />

The <strong>Plan</strong> Map, on the other hand, is derived from<br />

the Vision map, and guides the city’s investment and<br />

regulatory program. The <strong>Plan</strong> Map translates the<br />

vision’s overarching concepts into plan categories that<br />

describe in more detail the form, scale, and type of<br />

uses for specific areas of <strong>Tulsa</strong>. <strong>Plan</strong> categories serve as<br />

the basis for zoning district designations, which apply<br />

specific use and development requirements on the<br />

ground. There is a more detailed discussion of how the<br />

<strong>Plan</strong> Map was created in the Building the <strong>Plan</strong> section<br />

of this chapter, but the map is a combination of current<br />

uses and zoning, the Area of Growth and Stability<br />

Map, and the Vision Map Areas. This map should<br />

evolve as the <strong>Comprehensive</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> is implemented,<br />

keeping true to the overall vision, but adjusting to new<br />

neighborhood plans, unforeseen opportunities, and<br />

minor adjustments that will arise.<br />
