2. Continuity check using a<br />

voltmeter (1)<br />

Notes:<br />

a. Set circuit tester in the DC VOLT<br />

(DC "V") range.<br />

b. Connect negative terminal of voltmeter<br />

to body metal with a lead<br />

wire.<br />

c. If tests check out "N.G.", be sure<br />

to turn off the ignition switch and<br />

to disconnect battery ground cable<br />

before tracing the circuit.<br />

as follows:<br />

• Turn ignition switch to the "OFF"<br />

position.<br />

• Check the circuit indicated by large<br />

solid and dotted lines in Figure<br />

EF-51.<br />
