HEADLAMP<br />

AIMING ADJUSTMENT<br />

Both vertical and horizontal aiming<br />

adjustment can be carried out through<br />

the cutting hole of headlight case.<br />

Adjust the adjusting screw on <strong>up</strong>per<br />

side of each headlamp to adjust<br />

vertical aiming and adjust the adjusting<br />

screw on side of each headlamp to<br />

adjust horizontal aiming as sketched<br />

below.<br />

Notes:<br />

Before making headlamp aiming<br />

adjustment, observe the following:<br />

a. Keep all tires inflated to correct<br />

pressure.<br />

b. Place car and tester on the same flat<br />

surface.<br />

c. See that there is no load in car.<br />

1) Gasoline, radiator and engine oil<br />

pan filled to correct levels.<br />

2) No passenger.<br />

When performing headlamp aiming<br />

adjustment, use an aiming device,<br />

aiming wall screen or headlamp tester.<br />

For operating instructions of any<br />

aimer, refer to the operation manuals<br />

s<strong>up</strong>plied with the unit.<br />

Adjust each headlamp beam as<br />

shown in Figure BE-27.<br />
