1975 Datsun 280z FSM - Spooled up Racing

Air comes out of defroster nozzles.
No air comes out of defroster nozzles.
Hot air comes out, but outside
air is not heated.
Hot air does not come out.
Air does not come out
at all.
Air comes out a titt
Air intake door is in recirculating
air position.
Water cock-does not operate.
Control wire is disconnected.
Blower does not run.

Diagnoses".
Mode door does not
operate. Air comes
out of air conditioner
outlets.
Mode door is only
half operative.
Connect vacuum te
ter to hose of "D2"
of double actuator.
Actuator of air intake door does
not operate.
Control wire is all
right.
Connect vacuum tester
to hose of vacuum
cock.
Connect vacuum tester
to hoses of "Di"
and "D2" of mode
door actuator.
Connect vacuum tester to hose
of air intake door actuator.

Check hose connection, and
when it is found normal, replace
actuator.

it is found normal,
replace actuator.

Check hose connection,
and when it is
found normal, replace
vacuum cock.

Disconnect hose "S" from vacuum
selector valve and connect to
vacuum tester.

Check vacuum hose for twist,
dent and leak. When it is
found normal, replace selector.
Disconnect inlet hose of magnet
valve (vacuum source), and connect
to vacuum tester.

Check hose, and when
it is found normal,
replace check valve.
Check connector
plug and hose.
If hose is damaged,
replace it.
Check with 12-volt test light
whether electric current
flows to magnet valve. When
it is found normal, replace
magnet valve.
Connect vacuum tester to
hose at the inlet of vacuum
tank.

Vacuum tester: Tester light keeps OFF
unless normal vacuum level exists in
each check point.
Check hose for twist, dent and
leak. Check tank for leak and
connector's connection.
Repair or replace parts as
required.
Connect vacuum tester to hose
on inlet side of check valve.
