Washer nozzle<br />

1. Remove washer nozzle fixing<br />

screws from cowl top panel.<br />

2. Take out washer nozzle with<br />

tube.<br />

3. Install in reverse sequence of removal.<br />

Body Electrical System<br />

Never mix soap powder or detergent<br />

with solution.<br />

2. Do not operate windshield washer<br />

continuously for more than 30<br />

seconds or without washer fluid. This<br />

often causes improper windshield<br />

washer operation. Normally, windshield<br />

washer should be operated 10<br />

seconds or less at one time.<br />

Wiper switch<br />

Wiper switch and washer switch are<br />

integral parts of combination switch,<br />

so, refer to page BE-27 for Removal of<br />

Combination Switch.<br />

Intermitter wiper relay<br />

The intermittent wiper relay is installed<br />

on relay bracket.<br />

1. Disconnect two connectors for<br />

intermittent wiper relay.<br />

2. Remove intermittent wiper relay<br />

retaining screws.<br />

Then, intermittent wiper relay can<br />

be taken out of bracket.<br />

3. Installation is in the reverse sequence<br />

of removal.<br />

Washer pump and tank<br />

The washer pump is installed at<br />

bottom of washer tank.<br />

1. Remove washer tank with washer<br />

motor from tank bracket in engine<br />

room.<br />

2. Disconnect two washer pump<br />

lead wires at connectors.<br />

3. Remove hoses from washer pump<br />

and drain washer fluid.<br />

4. Separate washer pump from<br />

washer tank.<br />

5. Install washer tank and motor<br />

assembly in reverse sequence of removal.<br />

Note: In assembling washer motor<br />

and washer tank, it is recommended<br />

that soapy water be used to facilitate<br />

the operation.<br />

INSPECTION<br />

Check operation of each part of<br />

wiper system and test continuity of<br />

system with ohmmeter or test lamp.<br />

wiper circuit diagram.<br />

washer operation<br />

1. Be sure to use only washing<br />

solution.<br />
